As of the first half of 2023, China-Europe Railway Express connects 216 cities across 25 European countries, serving as a vital artery for trade between China and Europe. Underpinning these railroad ties binding the continent is Belarus, an indispensable Eurasian land bridge to the EU and Atlantic seaports. In 2022, bilateral trade between Belarus and China reached new heights. Refrigerated freight trains transport Belarusian dairy, meat and seafood to thousands of Chinese households.

In his Koryazhma railway office, Belintertrans CEO Andrei Sladkevich traces his country"s extensive rail network on a wall map. Crisscrossing Belarus, tracks whisk goods east to Russia, south to Ukraine and the Middle East, west to Poland and Central/Western Europe, and north to the Nordics.
A decade into the Belt and Road Initiative, joint Sino-Belarusian efforts have transformed China-Europe Railway Express into a vital logistics artery powering Eurasian growth. Koryazhma station, a key Belarusian port, exemplifies this connectivity.
Sladkevich explains that the station houses container storage and comprehensive warehouses, including one warehouse alone that stores nearly 250,000 tons of goods. Turnover rates here often top 70%, he notes, underscoring the station"s round-the-clock bustle. "This includes imported, exported and transit goods. To expand capacity, we"ve built multiple modern logistics centers near the station." With booming Sino-Belarusian trade under the high-quality partnership brought by the Belt and Road Initiative, Sladkevich adds that they are planning a new customs clearance office at Koryazhma.
On May 12th, 2023, after a three-year suspension, the refrigerated rail route of China-Europe Railway Express relaunched, with the first batch of frozen Belarusian beef arriving at Zhengzhou International Dry Port. At Koryazhma"s refrigerated section, Chinese containers abound, plugged into one of 27 charging points to uphold cold chain integrity. Sladkevich says charging stations will further expand based on cargo demand.
Beltamozhservice First Deputy CEO Aliaksandra Skachkouski says that her state logistics company handles customs, transport, warehousing and more for China-Europe freight. With six warehouses spanning 348,000 square meters nationwide, Beltamozhservice"s annual customs guarantee amounts to 4.1 billion euros. Vadim Vaziuro, Beltamozhservice"s Logistics Manager, notes they now operate 98% paperless.
With modern logistics centers, refrigerated charging stations, and integrated "digital transport corridors", Belarus continues fortifying its role as an international hub.
白俄罗斯,高科技唱响欧亚大陆班列“高歌”
截至2023年上半年,中欧班列通达欧洲25个国家216个城市,成为畅通中欧贸易的重要引擎。一趟趟铁轨奏响的音符背后,作为欧亚大陆至欧盟及大西洋港口的必经之地,白俄罗斯用铁路串起了中欧之间的歌。其中,2022年,白俄罗斯和中国的双边贸易额再创历史新高。许多乳制品、肉类、鱼类产品从白俄罗斯通过中欧班列运往中国,送到成千上万的消费者手中。
在白俄罗斯科里亚季奇车站的一处办公室内,白俄罗斯的国营企业白俄罗斯国际运输公司(BELINTERTRANS)总经理Sladkevich Andrei指着墙上的铁路分布地图向记者展示了白俄罗斯境内四通八达的铁路走向。在白俄罗斯,沿着铁路线,货物可以在最短时间内东到俄罗斯,南到乌克兰和中东地区,西到波兰、欧洲中部和西部,北到芬兰、挪威等北欧国家。
“一带一路”10年来,在中白两国的共同努力下,中欧班列已成为推动中白两国乃至整个欧亚地区经济发展的重要物流运输通道。科里亚季奇车站就是其中一个重要的通道,这里也是白俄罗斯陆港组织集装箱的主要枢纽。
Sladkevich Andrei介绍,车站包含了集装箱存储仓和综合储存仓,其中仅1号仓库就能存储近25万吨货物。在这里,仓库货物吞吐量经常超过70%,是绝对的“热闹场所”。“其中包含了进出口及过境货物。为了扩大运输量,车站附近配套也建设了多个可提供服务的现代物流中心。”Sladkevich Andrei称,得益于“一带一路”高品质伙伴关系,中白两国之间的贸易额越来越多,他们正计划要在科里亚季奇车站内再建设一栋处理货品报关文件的办公楼。
2023年5月12日下午,沉寂了3年的中欧班列(中豫号)国际冷链业务重新启动,首批来自白俄罗斯的冷冻牛肉运达郑州国际陆港。在科里亚季奇车站,冷链专区内停放着大量的来自中国的集装箱,记者发现,车站里有27个充电点,冷链运输的集装箱可以在此充电以保证冷链效果。
白俄罗斯国营物流企业Beltamozhservice第一副总裁Aliaksanda Skachkouski告诉羊城晚报记者,他们负责中欧班列货物的清关、运输、仓储等一系列服务。在白俄罗斯境内,他们共有6个仓库,总面积达348000平方米,每年支付关税的担保金额就超过41亿欧元。Beltamozhservice物流管理部部门经理Vaziuro Vadim介绍道,目前公司无纸化办公率已达98%。
现代物流中心、冷链充电桩、一体化“数字交通走廊”……在现代科技叠加之下,白俄罗斯的国际市场枢纽地位正在不断巩固与加强。
